Research and Development (R&D) consists of Investigative activities that a business chooses to conduct with the intention of making a discovery that can either lead to the development of new products or procedures, or to improvement of existing products or procedures research and development is one of the means by which business can experience future growth by developing new products or processes to improve and expand their operations.

• 1901 - Late Lala Ram Chandra Jindal Ji established a construction business in Delhi also contributed in the construction of Rashtrapati Bhawan.
• 1917 - India's one of the earliest mustard oil mill established in Shahdara, Delhi.
• 1985 - Shri Sanjeev Jindal laid the foundation of internationally acclaimed Jindal Electrical Tapes, an ISO certified product.
• 2012 - JR JINDAL Infra Project Pvt Ltd started. Which transformed into an electrical tape business, later merged with Jindal Electrical Tapes.
• 2015 - JO Pharma became an export house for over 40 medical products comprising of surgical as well as N95 mask, thermogun, oximeter, antibiotics, pain killers, anti cancer drugs and herbal medicines.
• 2016 - Advertising and Digital media business started for brand promotion of global clients.
• 2020 - Bharat Moringa an organic products company started by Ms. Shakun Jindal.
• 2020 - The Group has made its foray into Real estate, through an Industrial.
